ContrastScan ("Service") is a free website security scanning tool operated by ContrastCyber. The Service analyzes publicly accessible websites for security configurations including SSL/TLS, HTTP headers, DNS records, CORS, cookies, and other security indicators. The Service is provided as-is with no warranty.
Scan results are provided for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for a professional security audit. A high score does not guarantee a website is secure, and a low score does not necessarily indicate a vulnerability is exploitable. Do not rely solely on ContrastScan results for security decisions.
The Service analyzes only publicly available information (HTTP headers, DNS records, SSL certificates, WHOIS data). No exploit attempts or intrusive testing is performed. You agree not to:
100 requests per hour per IP address across both ContrastScan and ContrastAPI (1,000/hour with Pro key). Rate limits may be adjusted without notice to ensure fair usage.
We reserve the right to block, throttle, or ban any IP address or user engaging in abusive usage, including but not limited to: automated scraping beyond rate limits, or any activity that degrades the Service for other users.
The Service may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued without notice. We do not guarantee uptime or availability. Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time.
The Service stores domain names, scan results, and hashed IP addresses. No raw IP addresses are stored permanently. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
IN NO EVENT SHALL CONTRASTCYBER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
